High School:

I completed my high school education at Monroe Comprehensive High School located in Albany, Georgia. My parents have always stressed the importance of education to me, so I desired to pursue a higher education after high school.

My passion for teaching and my love for empowering, motivating, and mentoring youth led me to pursue my Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education at Valdosta State University. My concentration of studies are in Mathematics and English Language Arts, and I love every second, minute, and hour(s) I am presented to educate students in both of these content areas.

I also have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction/ Accomplished Teaching from Valdosta State University.

As part of my undergraduate studies requirements, I had to complete over one hundred field experience and observation hours in middle grades classrooms in order to earn my Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education. My experiences range from working with 5th to 7th grade students, in which my student teaching experience was located in Moultrie, Georgia in a 7th grade math class.

Upon graduating from college, I began working at Staley Middle School as a sixth grade English Language Arts/Reading teacher. Thus, I'm currently a sixth grade math teacher, and I am thoroughly enjoying being a part of the Sumter County Intermediate School family.
